Are you Ever too Old for Early Intervention?

Presenter

Sal Cleveray
PCYC

Description:

Who are we talking about when we speak of early intervention and prevention? Is it based on age, location, an assessment of needs, or the contractual criteria of the services delivering the support? This engaging workshop will explore the notion of early engagement with young people through a youth work lens, exploring intervention strategies. It will cover the concept of diversion versus intervention, interrogating the notion of age within program design and delivery, and discuss what prevention looks like when working with young people already in contact with statutory agencies.
