Beacons of Support: Embedding Ethical, Integrated Wellbeing Pathways in Schools

Presenter

David Frost & Robbie Rumble
Anglicare WA

Description

Anglicare WA’s Student Wellbeing Service positions Student Wellbeing Officers (SWOs) within schools as “beacons”, connecting students and families with supports that foster resilience, agency, and belonging. SWOs deliver tailored wellbeing support, programs, and links to external services, embedding wellbeing as a foundation for student success. Our practice is guided by three pillars: Child Safe Youth Safe Accreditation, the Children and Young People Recovery Framework, and the Youth Work WA Code of Ethics. This presentation shares strategies, case studies, and practical insights into embedding pathways of support, strengthening transitions, and building sustainable, student-centred models that enable young people to thrive.
