Description:
One in six young people in Western Australia provide care for someone living with a disability, chronic health condition, including mental health, or alcohol or drug dependency. Young carers face unique challenges and are statistically less likely to complete their education or maintain community engagement. This can lead to poorer financial, social, and overall well-being outcomes. This workshop from the Young Carer team will highlight positive success stories and share practical strategies that educational institutions can implement to help change this narrative and support better outcomes for young carers.
